Pruksa is committed to fostering happiness and promoting the creation of sustainable communities that embody a good and healthy living. The company continues to support the growth of social enterprise startups by organizing a Demo Day to summarize the outcomes of the "Accelerate Impact with PRUKSA" project. This initiative provided selected social entrepreneurs with opportunities to develop skills, receive funding, guidance, and access Pruksa's resources throughout the project duration. Five social enterprises participated, including: 1. Local Alike Co., Ltd., a community-based tourism social enterprise; 2. Buddy Homecare Social Enterprise Co., Ltd., which focuses on quality elderly care; 3. Vulcan Coalition Co., Ltd., a social enterprise that enhances employment for people with disabilities through technology and artificial intelligence; 4. Happy Ground Co., Ltd., the brand "Happy Grocers," an e-commerce platform connecting organic farmers with consumers; and 5. B2W Co., Ltd., a social enterprise platform linking part-time employees with employers through findTEMP.

Mr. Uthen Lohachitpitak, CEO of Pruksa Holding Public Company Limited, revealed that the "Accelerate Impact with PRUKSA" project was launched last year as part of the company's policy to emphasize social and environmental responsibility. The initiative aims to deliver "factors of happiness" that encompass good living conditions, health, and the sustainable development of communities. This project was designed to support social entrepreneurs seeking assistance to strengthen their businesses. Pruksa provided a total of 6 million baht in funding and organized workshops to develop essential business knowledge and skills, while also offering each social enterprise team expert consultations and introductions to important entrepreneurial networks for future growth. The primary goal is for participating companies to achieve positive impacts on social and environmental development, creating genuine social profit for Thailand.

Last year, five companies were selected to participate in the project and presented their results at the Demo Day. These included: 1. Local Alike Co., Ltd., owner of the Local Alike brand, a startup providing tourism services focused on sustainable community development and selling local products; 2. Buddy Homecare Social Enterprise Co., Ltd., owner of the Buddy Homecare brand, which addresses the needs of the elderly and underprivileged hill tribe children by providing vocational training and support for elderly care; 3. Vulcan Coalition Co., Ltd., a tech startup supporting the employment of people with disabilities by involving them in AI development for chatbots; 4. Happy Ground Co., Ltd., owner of the "Happy Grocers" brand; and 5. B2W Co., Ltd., owner of the findTEMP platform connecting part-time workers with employers.

“Throughout the 4-5 months of the project, Pruksa organized activities with all five social enterprises, with Pruksa employees supporting operations by utilizing business knowledge and resources within Pruksa's network to drive sustainable growth for each company. We witnessed the efforts and dedication of every team in addressing social issues and overcoming business challenges. Pruksa had the opportunity to help each team take a step forward. For example, Buddy Homecare, which had dreamed of starting a nursing home for ten years but had not yet begun, was able to realize that dream during the 4-5 months of the project and has now started its nursing home. Similarly, findTEMP was able to accelerate the progress of its planned projects with Pruksa's support,” he added.

The "Accelerate Impact with PRUKSA" project has created social impact by supporting social entrepreneurs, benefiting over a thousand people in the community. We believe this project is valuable and encourage other companies to join in creating value for social entrepreneurs and expanding its impact on society. Given that the project duration was only 4-5 months, it has not resolved all the issues that each company aims to address, and all five teams still require ongoing support for continued growth. After the project concludes, we hope that all five teams will apply what they have learned to further their impact.

We are proud that Pruksa has played a part in creating success and adding value to society. Pruksa plans to continue this initiative this year, and social entrepreneurs interested in joining the second round of the project are encouraged to stay tuned for further announcements, which will be made in the second quarter,” Mr. Uthen concluded.
